What’s Below the Surface?

I heard a story the other day of a lady who was surprised when she discovered her sweet potato plants actually produce sweet potatoes!  You see, she had been using her sweet potato plants for their leaves and had never considered what was under the surface.  Needless to say, I was dumbfounded how that was not obvious to her; but, as I thought about it, I wondered what other people may be missing out on….what are we missing below the surface? To most people, exercise and healthy nutrition are feats they must bear if they want to see results above the surface – weight loss and muscle gain.  Believe me; I used to think this way.

The benefits that lie beneath the surface are often overlooked. If you dig in, however, you will find all kinds of hidden rewards and may discover new enthusiasm for them. If you look below the surface, exercise and nutrition can reduce stress, improve your mood and energy, improve sleep quality, and advance function in daily activities. A healthy diet will help you get the right balance of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to improve your health and longevity. Look beneath the surface, you may be encouraged by what you find!
